What do we do?

The Engineering
All of our work builds towards the final product: our rocket. We start by designing rockets. Each year, the requirements for the competition change. 2021's objectives require our rocket to reach exactly 800 feet with a 43 second flight time. After designing, we simulate and adjust to meet our theoretical objectives. From there comes our biggest task: building the rocket from scratch parts!

About the Competition
The American Rocketry Challenge (TARC) is the world’s largest rocket contest with nearly 5,000 students nationwide competing each year. The contest gives middle and high school students the opportunity to design, build and launch model rockets and hands-on experience solving engineering problems.

Launching as a Team
As a club, we try to fit in as many launches as possible. The most important part of the engineering process is testing, and for rocketry, a lot of it is required. Every month after our rocket is built, we visit a local ranch to test our rockets. It's an amazing team experience! It's both fun, and intense.
